Spending 11 days in Uganda is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the country’s diverse landscapes and rich wildlife. This carefully designed itinerary brings together four of western Uganda’s most celebrated national parks, while also uncovering hidden gems and off-the-beaten-track highlights as you journey through lush forests, rolling hills, and sweeping savannahs.

The adventure begins at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you’ll take a guided walk to see rhinos up close. Continue to Murchison Falls National Park, famous for its dramatic waterfall on the Nile and exceptional game viewing, including elephants, giraffes, and lions. Travel south to explore Kibale National Park, home to Uganda’s largest population of chimpanzees, and enjoy a Bigodi Swamp Walk, where community guides introduce you to a rich array of birdlife, monkeys, and wetlands ecology.

From there, head into the savannahs and crater lakes of Queen Elizabeth National Park, with opportunities for game drives and boat safaris, before venturing deep into the lush Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trek. Standing just meters away from these gentle giants is a truly unforgettable experience.

Along the way, you’ll enjoy classic safaris, scenic drives, and close-up wildlife encounters on foot—rhinos, chimps, gorillas—all in a single trip. Combined with the ever-changing landscapes and warm Ugandan hospitality, this itinerary is the perfect introduction to the wonders of western Uganda.
