From Lusaka, travel into the southern reaches of Kafue National Park for a three-night stay at Nanzhila Lake Camp. Set along a tranquil lakeshore, this intimate tented camp provides an authentic bush experience with abundant wildlife, scenic surroundings, and a true sense of remoteness. Daily game drives and guided walks reveal the rich biodiversity of the area, while hearty meals and peaceful views complete your stay.

Your safari continues deeper into the park with three nights at Nanzhila Plains Camp, located on vast, open savannahs teeming with wildlife. Day Overview

Day 1 – Arrival in Lusaka

On arrival at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, you will be met by your local guide and transferred to Pioneer Lodge. Settle in and enjoy a relaxed evening with dinner included, taking time to unwind after your journey and prepare for your safari adventure.

Day 2 – Transfer to Nanzhila Lake Camp

After breakfast, depart Lusaka and travel through the southern region of Kafue National Park. Arrive at Nanzhila Lake Camp and settle into your tented accommodation overlooking the tranquil lakeshore. Enjoy your first afternoon activity, followed by dinner under the stars.

Day 3 – Nanzhila Lake Camp

Spend the day exploring the area with morning and afternoon game drives or a guided walking safari. The lakeshore attracts a variety of wildlife and birdlife, offering rewarding sightings in a peaceful and remote setting.

Day 4 – Nanzhila Lake Camp

Another full day of safari activities. Enjoy the flexibility to combine game drives and walking safaris, or simply relax at camp and take in the surrounding wilderness and scenic views.

Day 5 – Transfer to Nanzhila Plains Camp

Today you will transfer deeper into the park to Nanzhila Plains Camp. The landscape opens into vast savannahs, offering sweeping views and excellent game viewing opportunities. Settle in and enjoy an afternoon activity.

Day 6 – Nanzhila Plains Camp

Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives across the open plains, home to a wide range of wildlife. Walking safaris are also available, providing a more immersive bush experience.

Day 7 – Nanzhila Plains Camp

A further day to explore this wildlife-rich area. Take in the sights and sounds of the bush, with time between activities to relax and enjoy the camp’s beautiful setting.

Day 8 – Transfer to Livingstone

After breakfast, depart Kafue National Park and transfer to Livingstone. On arrival, check in to Taita Falcon Lodge, dramatically set above the Batoka Gorge, and enjoy the stunning views.

Day 9 – Livingstone / Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park

Enjoy a game drive in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, home to a variety of wildlife including elephant and giraffe. A guided rhino walk offers a unique opportunity to see these incredible animals up close.

Day 10 – Livingstone at Leisure

Spend the day at leisure. Optional activities include visiting Victoria Falls, a helicopter flight over the falls, or relaxing at the lodge while enjoying the panoramic gorge views.
