When is the best time of the year to visit?

July through to October are traditionally the best times to visit Tanzania, and this is largely driven by the infamous wildebeest migration. However, this also means it is by far the busiest time to visit the country and accommodation prices are at the peak. Wildlife viewing is good throughout the year and if you are not afraid of potential rain you can get some good deals between March and May.
