Deep within the untouched rainforests of the Central African Republic lies Dzanga-Sangha Reserve, one of Africa’s most extraordinary and least explored wildernesses. Part of the UNESCO-listed Sangha Tri-national Protected Area, this remote sanctuary offers a rare opportunity of a Central African Republic Safari experiencing nature in its purest form. A rich mosaic of ecosystems unfolds here. Dense lowland forests, winding rivers, misty marshes, and mineral-rich forest clearings known as bais, all creating a haven for remarkable biodiversity and unforgettable wildlife encounters.

This immersive eight-day journey staying at Sangha Lodge invites you to step far beyond the ordinary and into the heart of the wild. From the moment you arrive, the rhythm of the forest takes over. Expert guides lead you on once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including tracking critically endangered western lowland gorillas through lush jungle terrain and observing forest elephants, bongos, and sitatungas as they gather in the iconic Dzanga Bai. Each day reveals a new layer of this remarkable ecosystem, combining adventure with deep ecological insight.

Beyond its wildlife, Dzanga-Sangha offers meaningful cultural connections. Spend time with the Ba’aka people, whose lives are intricately tied to the forest, and gain a rare perspective on ancient traditions, music, and survival skills passed down through generations. Whether walking beneath towering ancient trees in the Valley of the Giants, exploring hidden waterfalls, or gliding along tranquil waterways, every moment is designed to immerse you in both the natural and human heritage of this extraordinary region.

Your stay at the intimate Sangha Lodge ensures comfort without compromising authenticity. With just a handful of rooms, personalised service, and all-inclusive hospitality, it provides the perfect base to unwind after each day’s exploration.
