When is the best time of the year to visit?

Lesotho is a beautiful mountainous country that border South Africa, and is most famous for the Sani Pass border between the two countries. Owing to the large mountain regions Lesotho weather can be extremely changeable, and it is always recommended to pack lots of layers for any trip. At the top of the Sani Pass is not unusual throughout the year, and it can also be extremely windy. Lesotho is also home to Afriski - the only ski resort in Africa that is open June and July every year, so if it is the unique opportunity to ski in Africa that you are after then these are definitely the months to visit. Outside of skiing November to March is the best time to visit, despite higher rains, as it can be warmer at night. However, if the rains are particularly heavy some roads may not be passable.
