Sudan

Due to the violent unrest in Sudan we have paused our tours to this country for the foreseeable future. Our thoughts are with the many people currently suffering as a result of this conflict, and we of course hope to see an end to this devastating conflict soon.

Sudan, a country of remarkable beauty, remains largely unexplored by the masses of tourists. While on Sudan Tours three things are to be expected: scorching temperatures, vast distances, and expansive deserts. However, these elements only add to the allure of this fascinating place. Sudan offers a treasure trove of historic civilizations, evident in the scattered pyramids and temples found throughout the country. Additionally, Sudan is home to a rich tapestry of cultures, with over 70 languages spoken, making it a truly unique destination.
Renowned for claiming more pyramids than Egypt, Sudan can argue that its architectural wonders are exceptionally well-preserved. Our Sudan tours provide you with an opportunity to witness the best of what this country has to offer.

When is the best time of the year to visit?

There is no hiding away from it with Sudan being in the desert it gets extremely hot at certain months during the year and can easily stay in the 40's between May and July, making these months a tough time to visit for those not acclimatised to such high temperatures. Rainfall is low throughout the year, but some showers could happen between July and October. The best months to visit are definitely between November and January where temperatures are lower, still high, but lower than other months. As from February the heat tends to rise again steadily.
