Victoria Falls Hotel is an iconic property and, having stayed here three times, it remains one of our absolute favourites. The hotel more than lives up to its reputation. Its location is exceptional, just a short walk from the falls, and the sense of history, elegance and occasion is felt from the moment you arrive.

The service is consistently excellent, polished yet warm, and the views are simply unforgettable. Looking out across the gardens towards the spray rising from Victoria Falls is something that never loses its magic. The pool area is a wonderful place to relax, and surprisingly peaceful, as most guests are usually out enjoying activities during the day. It makes for a calm and luxurious retreat in between excursions.

The hotel has been largely refurbished, and the rooms now have a fresh, modern feel while still retaining the classic colonial character that defines the property. While the rooms are on the smaller side, they are beautifully finished, with luxury touches throughout that make them feel special and well considered. The overall ambience of the hotel is unmistakably refined and elegant.

Food at Victoria Falls Hotel is consistently wonderful and remains a highlight of every stay. Lunch or afternoon tea on the Stanley Terrace is an absolute must, offering superb cuisine paired with iconic views and a timeless atmosphere. Dining here feels like part of the Victoria Falls experience itself.

Looking ahead, we are particularly excited about the Jungle Junction restaurant, which is undergoing a full refurbishment in 2026. Given the hotel’s recent upgrades and attention to detail, we are very much looking forward to seeing the changes. Overall, Victoria Falls Hotel continues to deliver classic luxury, exceptional service and an unbeatable location, making it a place we return to time and time again.
