Ol Pejeta, Naivasha and Maasai Mara Kenya Safari and Beach Stay Zanzibar

Prices From: £4645/$6295 per person sharing based on 2 travelling in a private vehicle for the safari

Your Kenya Safari and Beach journey begins in Ol Pejeta Conservancy, where you will be met on arrival and transferred by road through the scenic Kenyan countryside to Sweetwaters Serena Camp. Game viewing starts as soon as you enter the conservancy, with wildlife sightings en route to camp. Renowned as one of East Africa’s largest black rhino sanctuaries and home to the last remaining northern white rhinos, Ol Pejeta offers an inspiring conservation-focused safari. During your stay, enjoy traditional game drives, a visit to the unique chimpanzee sanctuary, time with the specialist anti-poaching dog unit, a guided bush walk with a ranger, and an exciting night game drive to discover the conservancy after dark.

From here, continue to the beautiful Lake Naivasha in the Great Rift Valley, where the pace softens amid tranquil lakeside scenery. Enjoy a boat safari in search of hippos and African Fish Eagles before stepping onto Crescent Island for a guided walking safari among freely roaming giraffe, zebra and antelope. A visit to Hell’s Gate National Park offers a more active adventure, with the opportunity to cycle through dramatic gorges and striking volcanic landscapes. Optional experiences such as horseback safaris, flower farm visits or a relaxing soak in the Olkaria Geothermal Spa further enhance your time in this diverse region.

Your safari then continues south to the world-famous Maasai Mara, one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife reserves. Vast rolling plains and the iconic Mara River set the stage for exceptional Big Five game viewing and some of the highest concentrations of wildlife on the continent. Early morning and evening game drives maximise your chances of remarkable sightings, while a night drive offers a rare glimpse into nocturnal activity. Cultural encounters with a local Maasai community and guided nature walks add depth to your experience, providing insight into both the people and ecosystems that make this region so extraordinary.

After your Kenyan adventure, return to Nairobi for a visit to the Giraffe Centre and a celebratory lunch at the renowned Carnivore Restaurant before flying to the idyllic island of Zanzibar. Here, your journey concludes with several days at leisure on powder-white beaches lapped by turquoise waters. Whether relaxing by the ocean, exploring historic Stone Town, embarking on a spice tour or enjoying a sunset dhow cruise, Zanzibar provides the perfect balance of relaxation, culture and tropical indulgence to complete your East African escape.
