Day Overview

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

Arrive in Nairobi, where you’ll be greeted by your driver-guide and begin your scenic journey to Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most picturesque reserves. The drive takes you through the Great Rift Valley region and into the open plains that lie beneath the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. Upon arrival, check in at the elegant Ol Tukai Lodge, perfectly located for both comfort and wildlife viewing. After lunch and some relaxation, set out on your first afternoon game drive, exploring Amboseli’s rich landscapes and spotting elephants, lions, buffalo, and more—all with Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped summit as a stunning backdrop.

Days 2–3: Amboseli National Park

Spend the next two days immersed in the wonders of Amboseli’s wildlife and scenery. Choose between two safari options: enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, returning to the lodge midday for lunch and relaxation, or set out on a full-day game drive with picnic lunches to explore deeper into the park. Amboseli is world-renowned for its large herds of elephants, as well as giraffes, zebras, and countless bird species that thrive around its marshes and seasonal lakes. Between drives, relax by the pool or enjoy the lodge’s tranquil surroundings, with breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro’s peaks in the distance.

Day 4: Amboseli – Tsavo West National Park

After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West National Park, one of Kenya’s most dramatic and diverse parks. En route, stop to view the Shetani Lava Flow, a fascinating expanse of solidified black lava that tells the story of the region’s volcanic past. Arrive at Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge in time for lunch, where you’ll be welcomed with panoramic views of the park and its bustling waterhole, often visited by elephants, buffalo, and other wildlife. In the afternoon, head out on a game drive through Tsavo’s rugged hills, open plains, and acacia woodlands before returning to the lodge to relax and enjoy dinner with views of animals gathering at dusk.

Day 5: Tsavo West National Park

Spend the day discovering Tsavo’s vast wilderness, famous for its red-dusted elephants and impressive variety of wildlife. Enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives, seeking out lions, giraffes, and elusive leopards, or simply watch the steady procession of animals at the lodge’s waterhole from the comfort of the terrace. Between safaris, savor delicious meals, relax in the serene atmosphere, or visit nearby attractions such as Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear waters teem with hippos and crocodiles. The combination of wildlife, dramatic landscapes, and relaxation makes Tsavo a truly memorable safari experience.

Day 6: Tsavo – Nairobi

After a hearty breakfast, set off on your drive back to Nairobi, enjoying the changing landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, head to the renowned Carnivore Restaurant for a hearty lunch featuring a wide variety of grilled meats and local flavors—a true Nairobi institution. Later, visit the Giraffe Centre, where you’ll have the unique opportunity to feed and interact with Rothschild’s giraffes from an elevated platform while learning about the ongoing conservation efforts. In the evening, check in at the Crowne Plaza Nairobi Airport Hotel for a relaxing overnight stay. The hotel offers a range of dining options and amenities, perfect for unwinding before your onward journey.

Day 7: Departure

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before your transfer to Nairobi’s international airport for your onward flight.
