From an initial stay in the capital, the adventure unfolds with a game drive in Nairobi National Park and a heartwarming visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust before heading south to Amboseli National Park. Here, vast open plains are framed by the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, creating the perfect backdrop for close encounters with large elephant herds and classic safari scenes.

Crossing into Tanzania, the journey continues through a remarkable diversity of ecosystems. Explore Tarangire National Park, famous for its ancient baobab trees and huge elephant population, followed by Lake Manyara National Park, known for flamingos and elusive tree-climbing lions. Day Overview

Day 1: Nairobi

Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Spend the remainder of the day at leisure, relaxing after your journey before enjoying dinner and an overnight stay in Nairobi.

Day 2: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, meet your guide and group for a pre-departure briefing. Enjoy a morning game drive in Nairobi National Park, followed by a visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to learn about elephant conservation. After lunch, travel south to Amboseli National Park, arriving in the afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park

Spend the day on a full-day game drive in Amboseli, renowned for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy picnic lunch in the park before returning to camp for dinner.

Day 4: Amboseli – Arusha

After a leisurely breakfast, travel to the Kenya–Tanzania border and continue to Arusha. En route, visit the Marangu Waterfalls and pass through Moshi, the gateway to Mount Kilimanjaro. Change guide and vehicle at the border before arriving in Arusha for overnight.

Day 5: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Depart Arusha for a full day of game drives in Tarangire National Park. Discover vast elephant herds, iconic baobab trees and sweeping views of the Maasai Steppe before overnighting near the park.

Day 6: Tarangire – Lake Manyara – Karatu

Travel to Lake Manyara National Park for a scenic game drive along the lake and forested escarpment. Look out for flamingos and the famous tree-climbing lions before continuing to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Karatu – Cultural Experiences

Explore the vibrant village of Mto wa Mbu, visiting markets, farms and a local home for a traditional lunch. Continue to a Maasai boma for an authentic cultural encounter, followed by a guided walk to Lake Papyrus and surrounding landscapes before returning to the lodge.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti National Park

Depart early for a game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife areas and home to the Big Five. After lunch, continue through the southern plains to the Serengeti, arriving in time for dinner.

Day 9: Serengeti National Park

Enjoy a full day of game drives in the central Serengeti (Seronera area), renowned for its abundant wildlife and excellent big cat sightings along the Seronera River.

Day 10: Serengeti National Park

Another full day of exploring the vast Serengeti plains, with game drives throughout the day and picnic lunch in the bush, before returning to camp in the late afternoon.

Day 11: Serengeti – Lake Victoria

Travel west toward Lake Victoria, passing through Sukuma villages and rural landscapes. Arrive at the lake in the afternoon with time to relax or enjoy a gentle walk along the shoreline.

Day 12: Lake Victoria – Masai Mara

Optionally take a morning boat excursion to a local fishing village before crossing the border back into Kenya. Continue north to the Masai Mara, changing guide and vehicle at the border, and arrive at camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Masai Mara National Reserve

Spend the entire day game viewing in the Masai Mara, one of Africa’s premier wildlife reserves, home to lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes and abundant plains game.

Day 14: Masai Mara – Nairobi

After breakfast, return to Nairobi. Visit the Giraffe Centre and Karen Blixen Museum, with time to stop at the Kazuri Beads Workshop if time allows. Enjoy a farewell dinner in Nairobi.

Day 15: Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight, bringing your East African safari adventure to an end.
