Overview of Congo and C.A.R Tour
Day 1: Brazzaville – Arrive in Brazzaville, transfer to Radisson Blu M’Bamou Palace Hotel, and enjoy an optional brief city tour if time allows.
Day 2: Brazzaville – Odzala – Fly from Brazzaville to Mboko Airstrip in Odzala-Kokoua National Park, transfer to Ngaga Lodge, and attend a gorilla tracking briefing before dinner.
Days 3-4: Odzala – Trek through the dense forests of Odzala-Kokoua National Park to encounter Western lowland gorillas, and explore the area with village visits, forest walks, sundowners by the Ngaga stream, and nocturnal wildlife excursions.
Day 5: Odzala – Lango Camp – After breakfast at Ngaga Lodge, transfer through Mbomo village to Mboko Camp for lunch, followed by a scenic kayak trip on the Lekoli River to Lango Camp, where you can enjoy a sundowner with views of Lango Baï and spot local wildlife.
Day 6: Lango Camp – Explore Lango Camp’s stunning surroundings on foot, following elephant trails through streams and lush forests, and enjoy panoramic views of Lango Baï, attracting flocks of green pigeons, African grey parrots, and herds of forest buffalo and elephants.
Day 7: Lango – Mboko Camp – Enjoy a scenic game drive transfer from Lango Camp to Mboko Camp, followed by a peaceful walk through the marshes, and then savor lunch and relax with flexible options for the afternoon.
Day 8: Odzala (Congo) – Sangha (Central African Republic) – After breakfast at Mboko, take a charter flight to Kabo Airstrip, followed by a scenic 4-6 hour boat transfer on the Sangha River to Sangha Lodge, where you’ll enjoy a relaxing afternoon.
Days 9-11: Sangha – Explore the heart of Africa with unique wildlife experiences, including observing forest elephants, interacting with the Ba’Aka community, hiking in the Valley of Giants, kayaking the Sangha River, tracking gorillas, and enjoying sunset boat cruises.
Day 12: Mboko – Return to Mboko Lodge with a scenic boat and charter flight journey from Sangha Lodge, followed by an afternoon forest walk, sundowners by the river, and a memorable final dinner under the stars.
