Day 1 – Arrival in Bangui & Flight to Camp

Your journey begins in Bangui, where airport assistance ensures a smooth arrival. You’ll board a round-trip charter flight to camp, enjoying the transition from city to pristine forest. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodations for the first of seven nights. After a warm welcome and orientation, enjoy a relaxed afternoon getting acquainted with the surroundings. All meals, soft drinks, local beers, house wines, and spirits are included throughout the stay, along with complimentary Wi-Fi and laundry services.

Day 2 – Lowland Gorilla Trekking

Your first full day begins with one of the region’s most memorable experiences—a guided trek to observe lowland gorillas in their natural habitat. With your trekking permit included, expert trackers will lead you through lush forest terrain to locate a habituated family group. The afternoon is free to enjoy camp amenities or join a gentle forest walk to learn about the flora and smaller fauna of the area.

Day 3 – Dzanga Bai

Today is dedicated to Dzanga Bai, the world-famous forest clearing where wildlife congregates in extraordinary numbers. From the viewing platform, you may witness forest elephants, bongos, sitatungas, and a variety of birds in a remarkable natural setting. Day 4 – Saline Tour (Bai Hokou) & Mangabey Tracking

After breakfast, venture into the Bai Hokou region for a fascinating saline tour. This mineral-rich area attracts a variety of species and provides excellent opportunities for observation. Continue deeper into the forest to track agile and vocal mangabeys with the help of your guiding team. The day offers a balance of wildlife encounters and scenic exploration before returning to camp to unwind.

Day 5 – Ba’aka Cultural Activities

This morning is devoted to an immersive experience with the Ba’aka community, one of the region’s indigenous forest groups. Participate in traditional activities such as net hunting demonstrations, medicinal plant gathering, or musical performances, depending on what the community chooses to share. Their deep knowledge of the forest provides a rare and meaningful cultural connection. The remainder of the day is free for optional kayaking or relaxed exploration around camp.

Day 6 – Valley of the Giants or Mandoube Falls

Choose between two exceptional excursions. The Valley of the Giants offers a walk among towering ancient trees, some of the largest in the region, creating a cathedral-like forest environment. Alternatively, visit Mandoube Falls, where cool waters cascade through a lush and serene setting—perfect for photography and peaceful contemplation. Both options highlight the beauty and biodiversity of the area. Return to camp for a guided night walk, where nocturnal creatures reveal a different side of the forest.

Day 7 – Forest Walks & Final Exploration

Spend your final full day enjoying additional guided forest walks, taking in the sounds, scents, and discoveries that make this region unforgettable. Whether focusing on birdlife, botany, or simply a peaceful immersion in nature, the day provides a perfect final connection to the landscape. Enjoy a farewell evening with a final dinner shared around the campfire.

Day 8 – Departure

After breakfast, bid farewell to the forest as you board your charter flight back to Bangui. With assistance on arrival, your journey concludes with smooth onward connections and lasting memories of an extraordinary Central African adventure.
