Who Am I – Sarah Hennessy
Whilst pulling together my new blog site yesterday I was thinking that if I am expecting you to invest time and read the blogs that I pull together, then you should have the opportunity to learn a little bit more about me..
Extended Cape Town Holidays Blog
When I speak to fellow tour operators they often chuckle at me when I suggest that Cape Town is a perfect single destination holiday! Typically when travelling over to South Africa, multi-centre and multi-activity tours are the norm.
Self-Drive Caprivi Strip Blog
When I decided in 2019 that I was going to return to Namibia, I knew that there were two things that were absolutely key. The first was that I wanted to do this trip as a self-drive, as I absolutely love the freedom that comes from travelling your own route on your own time. The second criteria was that I wanted to visit the Caprivi Strip.
South Africa – The Ultimate Destination Blog
With Cape Town continually winning awards as one of the world's best cities, and Kruger one of the most well known National Parks in Africa it is safe to say that South Africa is already a discovered destination. So - why do so many people choose to visit South Africa?
Johannesburg Museums Blog
As someone who travels to Southern Africa several times a year, technically I have 'visited' Johannesburg more times than I can remember. Despite sometimes going via Johannesburg several times in one trip, I had never stepped outside of the airport.
Where to Stay – Victoria Falls Lodges Blog
Victoria Falls is one of my favourite destinations to visit for a couple of days. It makes an excellent add-on for trips into South Africa, Namibia, Kenya and Botswana! Here are my 'Top 5' recommendations for where to stay in Victoria Falls.
Walvis Bay or Swakopmund Blog
Walvis Bay or Swakopmund will feature on most itineraries for Namibia. The first time I went there, I found this to be a bit odd. I mean Swakopmund is a nice enough town, but it isn't somewhere I would typically add to an itinerary, especially one that is pushed for time to see other more beautiful destinations in Namibia. I soon learnt that the reason for this inclusion is logistical as opposed to being a 'must-see'.
Travel Africa – Which African Country Should I Visit?
As an independent tour operator focussing purely on Africa there is one question that I get asked a lot, and that is 'where do you recommend we visit?' Now this is not an easy question to answer! Africa is the second largest continent in the world, comprises 55 different countries and is around 11.7 million square miles in size.
Unique Destinations – Ghana, Malawi or Ethiopia?
We are getting an increasing number of requests to recommend destinations that are either ‘off the beaten track’ or ‘up and coming’.
Every year we see new countries that are wisely trying to capitalise on the worlds desire to travel, and every year it gets easier and easier to find tours to new and exciting destinations.
Here are my current ‘top 3’ places to consider for 2021/22.
What is Premium Overlanding?
For many years overland trucks have been a regular sighting across the continent of Africa. These heavyweight trucks are designed to travel long distances, across all the different terrains as they travel between varying and diverse countries. From lush green areas to deserts to beach to the savannah, there are very few places they can not go.
