Mowani Mountain Camp is without question one of our favourite camps in the Damaraland area, alongside its sister lodge, Camp Kipwe. From the moment you arrive, it feels truly special, with a sense of remoteness and drama that few places can match. Set deep in the wilderness, the camp offers a rare feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by vast landscapes and complete tranquillity.

The design of the property is simply brilliant. Built seamlessly into the surrounding granite boulders, Mowani Mountain Camp feels as though it has grown naturally out of the rocks. This thoughtful architecture not only enhances the sense of place but also ensures that every angle offers something visually striking, blending comfort with the raw beauty of Damaraland.

The views are nothing short of stunning. From both the communal areas and the rooms, the landscape stretches endlessly across rocky plains and dry riverbeds. Each room is beautifully positioned and features a wonderful private deck, making it easy to sit quietly and take in the scenery at any time of day. These decks quickly become a favourite place to relax and reflect.

The food at Mowani Mountain Camp is exceptional and consistently impressive. Meals are beautifully prepared and thoughtfully presented, adding a refined culinary experience to an already outstanding stay.
