Our Review
★★★★★
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hôtel 2 Février and found it to be an impressive and memorable hotel overall. From the moment we arrived, the property felt grand and well run, with a welcoming atmosphere that made it a pleasure to stay, even if our time there was relatively short due to being on a tour.
The food was truly outstanding and a definite highlight of our stay. Dining at the restaurant near the top of the hotel was a fantastic experience, not only because of the quality of the food but also because of the spectacular views over Lomé. A charming detail that stood out was the heart-shaped bread, which added a thoughtful and memorable touch to the dining experience. Breakfast was another standout feature, this time on the first floor. It was easily one of the best we have had in West Africa. The selection was excellent, well presented and of very high quality, setting us up perfectly for the day ahead. It was clear that care and attention had gone into offering a strong breakfast experience, suitable for an international audience.
The public areas of the hotel were equally enjoyable, particularly in the evenings. A piano performance in the reception area created a lovely atmosphere, especially while enjoying a drink in the bar nearby. It added a sense of elegance and relaxation that made the hotel feel special and refined.
Unfortunately, due to the timings of our tour, we did not have time to properly relax around the hotel pool, which was disappointing as it looked inviting and well designed. It felt like an amenity that would have been a real pleasure to enjoy if time had allowed, and we would have happily spent a quiet afternoon there.
There was one unexpected issue during our stay, as we experienced a lack of water for several hours one evening. This was surprising for a five-star hotel, although it only affected a small number of rooms and we were simply unfortunate to be among them. Despite this minor inconvenience, it did not overshadow an otherwise excellent stay, and we would still highly recommend Hôtel 2 Février for its quality, atmosphere and outstanding dining.
