Our Review
Atlantic Lumley Hotel offers a comfortable and well-located stay right on the beachfront in Freetown. Its position directly opposite Lumley Beach is a major advantage, giving the hotel a relaxed coastal feel and making it easy to enjoy the ocean and surrounding area. The atmosphere is casual and well suited to both business and leisure travellers.
The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, with good air-conditioning that works reliably in the coastal heat. Bathrooms are a real highlight, and we particularly appreciated having both a bath and a separate shower in our room, which added an extra level of comfort. An unexpected and slightly quirky touch was the presence of portable gas masks in the room, something we had not encountered elsewhere.
Service at Atlantic Lumley Hotel was typically friendly, with staff doing their best to be helpful and welcoming. That said, service could be quite slow at times, particularly in the restaurant and bar areas. While this occasionally required patience, the overall attitude of the staff remained positive and courteous.
The hotel’s location is one of its strongest assets. Being directly across from the beach makes it easy to enjoy seaside walks and sunsets, and there are several excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. This adds greatly to the convenience and enjoyment of staying here.
