Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival at Victoria Falls+

You will be met at Victoria Falls Airport and transferred to your chosen hotel for 2 nights. On arrival you will be presented with a full detailed timed itinerary of your tour, and you will be given the opportunity to ask any questions you have prior to the start of the tour with our local representative. After arriving at your hotel, you will be given time to settle in and rest for the afternoon, before being picked up early evening for an exciting African dinner experience at the excellent Boma Restaurant!

Day 2 - Exploring Victoria Falls+

Today is the opportunity to experience the magnificent Splendour of Victoria Falls, known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya (the smoke that thunders). You will be picked up in the morning ready for a guided tour of the falls. You will then have an included lunch at the on-site Rainforest Café. In the afternoon you have time to do an optional helicopter tour over the falls, or free time to explore all the town of Victoria Falls has to offer. In the evening you will enjoy a beautiful sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, and experience not to be missed.

Day 3 - Victoria Falls+

This morning you have the opportunity to enjoy one or more optional activities within Victoria Falls, depending on your preference. Your guide can help in making all these arrangements, or you can simply spend time relaxing at your hotel or doing a little shopping in the area. Mid-afternoon you will be picked up and taken to the Victoria Falls Hotel to enjoy a luxury afternoon tea on the exquisite Stanley's Terrace, with return transfer to your hotel afterwards.

Day 4 - Hwange National Park+

After breakfast you will get picked up by your private guide to drive approximately 3.5 hours to your chosen accommodation in Hwange National Park, getting the chance to see more of rural Zimbabwe on route. You will be met in Hwange by representatives of the Hotel and transferred by 4x4 to the secluded property for your 3 night stay. You will be given the opportunity to have lunch and then relax before embarking on an included afternoon safari.

Day 5 & 6 - Hwange+

You will have 2 full days to enjoy the activities offered at your chosen hotel, most notably the included morning and afternoon safaris. All activities are led by qualified and professional guides to ensure you get the best experience possible.

Day 7 - Matobo National Park+

After a final early morning safari you will once again be picked up by your private guide and driven to Matobo National Park where you will spend 2 nights at your chosen lodge. In the afternoon you have the opportunity to do an included walking safari or rhino tracking or just have time to relax.

Day 8 - Matobo National Park+

Today you will spend the full day with your guide in Matobo National Park, taking in activities such as a walk to the balancing rocks and a visit to the world famous cave paintings. The day will end with sundowners at the truly spectacular World's View; the burial place of Cecil Rhodes.

Day 9 - Great Zimbabwe Ruins+

After breakfast you will take a 4-5 hour drive to Masvingo which is the home of the Great Zimbabwe Ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The afternoon will be spent at leisure enjoying the facilities at your chosen hotel.

Day 10 - Great Zimbabwe Ruins+

After breakfast you will be picked up by your driver and taken to the Great Zimbabwe Ruins where you will meet a local guide who will take you for a fascinating tour round the ruins providing a full explanation of the history and architecture of the site. You will then be driven back to your hotel for your final night in Zimbabwe.

Day 11 - Johannesburg+

Today you will be picked up from your hotel at an agreed time and transferred to Harare airport for your onward flight, to Johannesburg. On arrival in Johannesburg you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for the evening.

Day 12-15 – Kruger Safari+

For the next 4 days you will be on a group tour into the Kruger National Park, taking in parts of the panoramic route. During your trip you will have the opportunity to do a number of game drives, a walking safari and sundowners on a night drive . The order of activities on this trip can be subject to change depending on timings, but all activities will be available. At the end f your tour you will be dropped at your accommodation in Johannesburg.

Day 16 – Johannesburg+

Today you have the opportunity to do a Soweto Tour in Johannesburg. This is a great trip that gives you an insight into the living conditions and ways of life, and will also provide a good understanding of the history of the area.

Day 17 – Cape Town+

Today at an agreed time you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight to Cape Town. On arrival in Cape Town you will be met by a local driver and transferred to your chosen accommodation.

Day 18 - Full Day Wine Tour+

Today you will be picked up by our local guide for a full day private wine tasting tour in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. You will visit 4 or 5 vineyards and be given the chance to try and purchase a wide range of excellent wines from some of the best wine growing regions in the world. There is a lunch stop (own expense) overlooking the beautiful Franschhoek valley and the day finishes with a wine and cheese pairing.

​Day 19 - Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point and Penguins+

Today is a full day private tour with a local guide taking in some of the most outstanding scenery around Cape Town. Cape Point is at the tip of the Cape Peninsula and one of the southern most part of table mountain national park, a declared Natural World Heritage Site. From here you will visit the Cape of Good Hope, a rocky headland on the Atlantic Ocean. The tour also includes a visit to Boulders Beach, the breeding place of the African Penguins and a unique sight  in the region.

Day 20 - Day at Leisure in Cape Town+

Day 22 - Robben Island & Kirstenbosch+

This morning you will be picked up by a local driver and taken down to the Clock Tower ready to embark on a tour of the historic Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for 27 years. There is a ferry ride across to the island, where you will then pick up a bus on arrival for a tour of the island, followed by a tour of the prison by a former inmate. You will then return back by ferry to the clock tower where your driver will be waiting to take you across to Kirstenbosch botanical gardens.

​Day 23 - Trip to Cape Agulhas+

Today is an included trip to Cape Agulhas, which is the southernmost tip of Africa and the place where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans Meet. The tour takes you through stunning mountain scenery, and you will get the opportunity to try and spot the blue crane, the national bird of South Africa. Late lunch (own expense) will be in Hermanus, and if you are there between July and November you may get to see the whales from the shore....

Day 24 - Home+

At a pre-arranged time you will be picked up and transferred to Cape Town Airport for your flight home.
